Fa la la la! As 2024 comes to a close and we prep year-end reports and holiday shutdowns, it’s the perfect time to prepare your 2025 content strategy.
To help you start the year right, here are some ideas to fill your 2025 content calendar and start the new year strong: 1. Explainer Posts: Does your audience truly understand who you are and what you offer? Create a video or carousel post that clearly outlines your mission, services, and programs. Be sure to include a strong call to action, like subscribing to your newsletter, booking a consultation, or registering for an upcoming event. 2. Monthly Community Spotlights: Highlight the people who make your organization shine! In a monthly spotlight series, feature 12 individuals from your community (members, staff, or partners). These features could be video interviews, photo posts with informational captions, or short blogs. 3. Employee Takeovers: Bring new voices into your social feeds with employee takeovers! Dedicate one day each month or quarter for a team member to post to your social accounts and share their role, insights, and contributions. It’s a great way to diversify your content and showcase the personalities behind your organization. 4. Reviews and Testimonials: Let others do the talking! Share positive reviews and testimonials from your community to showcase why people love working with you. These can be videos, quotes, or stories you repurpose throughout the year. Stay Ahead of the TrendsPlanning is important, but so is staying informed. Social media platforms evolve constantly. Keep up by reading resources like Hootsuite’s 2025 Social Media Trends Report and following creators like Sophie Miller or Becca Chambers for the latest updates and insights. Here’s to a merry end of the year and a successful 2025 planning season!

Key Resources for Embedding Truth and Reconciliation into Your Organizational Practices
Today is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a day to honour the healing journeys of residential school survivors and their families. It is also a time to engage with friends, family, and colleagues in meaningful discussions about the history and legacy of the residential school system. Last week, during a training session, a client from outside Canada asked us to help them understand the significance of this day and provide resources for building better communications around it. Based on that conversation, we’ve curated a list of tools and resources to help organizations deepen their understanding of truth and reconciliation and begin embedding these principles into their values and practices.
No matter when you choose to engage with these resources—today, next week, or next month—we encourage you and your team to reflect on how you can implement the recommendations and insights into your daily work and life. A meaningful step toward reconciliation starts with education, awareness, and open dialogue. Free resources to add to your marketing toolkit
